ah, that was canoeing (apparently there's a difference)!. Nearly died? That's as maybe but I see you don't mention getting me there under false pretences of a nice couple of hours down the river, which turned out to be 8 hours of hell in extreme heat, without water or a baguette ending with a white water rapid paddle through a bevy of naked Frenchm more…

A friend gave me an Ulfuls album a few months back, which I love. However, I still have no idea which album it is or what the songs are as she helpfully had no idea herself. Glad I'm not the only one to wonder how to (romanise) spell 'Ulfuls'. This will help me no end in my quest to label the bloody mp3s! more…

ulfuls comes from the word soulful which was all that remained of on a sticker from an album that keisuke ulful the guitarist owned. it was he that we were the guests of, although he had no idea of that fact.

A friend of mine snapped up the 3G iPhone when it came out in the UK -- he's a Mac nut and was waiting ages for the price to come down. It's not bad, and the touch keypad interface isn't so bad once you get used to it. Still, could be thinner (and without the £45 a month contract!) more…

No it's not larger, in fact it's thinner than my old one! It's smaller than an iphone. Speaking of which, was playing with one of those in the shop and very nice...but you had to pay 8000Yen a month (my phone is only 4000Yen), so didn't get it - also there's no keypad so think typing emails might be a nightmare.
About two weeks later, due to more…

That looks awesome Jim, but does it feel much larger? Always curious about the addition of gadgets vs the backwards increase in size of new mobiles! They'll have to invent trousers with specific pockets for these things before long. more…
